AB 351 Passes Assembly Committee

NDAA Nullification Assembly Bill 351 was passed a week ago today by the Public Safety Committee and now will be coming up for a vote by the full Assembly in the near future.  Now is the time to call your State Assemblyperson and urge her or him to vote for it!

AB 351 will nullify the unconstitutional provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, which stripped us of our habeas corpus rights, allowing for the indefinite detention of U. S. citizens on U. S. soil.  NDAA 2012 has already been found to be unconstitutional by a federal judge in a case brought forward by a wide array of groups and individuals from across the political spectrum.  AB 351, as well, has support from people on the left and on the right who are alarmed at the assault on our civil liberties that the NDAA represents.

To quote Benjamin Franklin, “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
